It has certainly been an eventful week for us wenches but oh, what a wonderful week it's been! Thanks to our new twitter account, we have a couple of awesome new friends and online mentions.
The first is from the Reduced Shakespeare Company (yes that Reduced Shakespeare Company! *insert fangirl squeals here*) They were kind enough to give us a shout out in their podcast for this week. It's Episode 145: Pasty White Giants. It looks like new episodes to their podcast are released every Monday. Their podcast is FREE so you should definitely subscribe today!
The second is from the Shakespeare Geek Blog. The Shakespeare Geek Blog boasts being the oldest Shakespeare blog on the net, which is really quite impressive, if you ask us! The blog covers all things Shakespeare and is chalk full of fun and interesting posts to read. We highly recommend subscribing to its RSS feed today!
We simply cannot thank the Reduced Shakespeare Company and the Shakespeare Geek Blog enough for taking the time to mention us. It really does mean the world to our humble little group of wenches!

In spite of the rain trickling down for most of the day, today was simply awesome!
Paul Bibeau organized a wonderful event! Aside from the rain, everything went smoothly. People trickled in to check out what was going on throughout the day. I am happy to report that none of them left disappointed.
The Tyler Paper and CBS 19 came out to cover the event. While CBS 19 was there, they caught some footage of us performing "Wench School". I just heard from the cameraman that he finished editing together the footage he caught from Troup CareFest and was sure to include us in it. It is slated to be shown tonight at 10pm on CBS 19. Keep your fingers crossed that it actually shows and tune in to check it out!
Lots of chicken bling, blue ribbon favors, and stickers were given out over the course of the day. One of the newest members of our flock, Tobi from Therapet, was caught all blinged out with Anita.

Aren't they adorable?!

We will be performing at Troup CareFest and want to see you there!
TroupCareFest runs from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, September 12th at the Brookshire's parking lot in Troup, TX. While the event is FREE to the public, they are asking for canned food and gently worn clothing donations. All food donations will benefit our local food banks.
This economy has hit everyone hard, putting an even bigger strain than normal on our local food banks. Quite simply, they're running out of food. If they run out of food, many people in our community; men, women, and children, won't eat. A can of vegetables costs as little as 50 cents. I don't know about you but I can find at least that much money in my couch cushions!
Show people in your community how much you care and have some fun while you're at it! Our first performance is at 11:30 am in the music tent. Come on over and say hi!

Well, an online one, at any rate! After many hours of hard work, frustration, manic coding tutorials, and... alright, I have to admit, fun, the website is (mostly) finished! Feel free to browse around, see our new digs, and bask in the result of my blood, sweat, and tears. If you find any broken links or encounter any difficulties, please send me a note about it so I can get it fixed asap.
